Glenn E. Martin
President, CEO, CFO, and Director
Glenn E. Martin serves as President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Financial Officer of WEED, Inc., and is Chairman of our Board of Directors. Prior to organizing the company, Mr. Martin served in an executive capacity with several different companies. From 1988 through the fall of 1992, Mr. Martin was Executive Director of World Trade Center, Tucson, a subsidiary of the former Twin Towers in New York City. In this position, he oversaw the day-to-day operations, including projects, programs, and seminars for the U.S. Dept. of Commerce associate office in the W.T.C., Tucson promoting D.O.C. programs and servicing clients for both the D.O.C. and Small Business Administration. During his tenure with World Trade Center, he served as speaker for international trade seminars and the AIESEC (U.S) National Leadership Seminars. Mr. Martin has been a Member of the Hong Kong Trade Association 1988 to present; Member, Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (2008). Guest speaker at Inaugural HKBAH Annual Event in May 2010 & member of Hong Kong Business Association of Hawaii (2010).
Patrick E. Williams, PhD
Chief Science Officer and Director
Patrick E. Williams, PhD, serves as Chief Science Officer of WEED, Inc., and also serves on our Board of Directors. He has more than 30 years of experience in the development of new analytical methods and instruments for bio-molecular testing. Dr. Williams served on the National Scientific Review Board for the Human Genome Project, provided technical leadership as the branch chief of the Armed Forces DNA Technology Development Program of the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, and served on numerous NIH Study Sections on technology development. His responsibilities have included conceptualizing and managing key projects, technology transfers and collaborative research programs, laboratory process improvement, grant writing, fundraising and budgeting, staffing, managing personnel, identifying outside collaborators, and directing subcontractors. His directed research programs include innovative sample preparation chemistries and PCR based assays for the traditional food-borne pathogens, as wells as new assays for emerging plant and human infectious agents. Dr. Williams is focusing his years of experience on understanding the cannabis genome and how it will provide the blueprints for the development of significant medicinal products for the treatment of human disease.
Mary A. Williams
Chair, Executive Committee
Mary Williams serves as Chair of the Executive Committee of WEED, Inc. She has more than 30 years of experience providing operations management, marketing, and business development services across multiple market sectors. Her role is to implement the Board of Directors’ fiduciary, strategic, and generative plans, policies, and decisions consistent with the organization’s vision, mission and guiding principles. In her role as COO of Sangre AgroTech, a wholly-owned subsidiary of WEED, Inc., Mrs. Williams provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. She is responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external, and handles oversight of financial, human resources, policy and procedure development, licensing, corporate insurance, and compliance capabilities.
Nicole M. Breen
Secretary, Treasurer, and Director
Nicole M. Breen serves as Secretary and Treasurer of WEED, Inc., and also serves on our Board of Directors. In her capacity as corporate Secretary, she maintains corporate records and prepares minutes of the board meetings as well as shareholder meetings. As Treasurer, Ms. Breen is in charge of funds within the corporation. For 12 years, she served as the Managing Associate of GEM Management Group, LLC, a subsidiary of WEED, Inc., specializing in acquiring mineral rights and mining properties, along with servicing administration requirements for the company. Ms. Breen received her B.S. from the University of Arizona.
